Run Daddy Run....
Saturday I was able to run with my Dad in his first 5K. It was so fun to run with him and see him accomplish his goal. I remember how I felt running my first one and how I felt knowing that I completed a goal that I never thought would be possible. I am so proud of him. Now, let's see if I can get him to do a 10K. Here's a picture from before the race when he was still smiling. Please don't ask what happened to my hair. Someone could have at least told me.

You guys look really good. How did Dad do?

Awesome! A bunch of my Moorpark friends ran that race, and one of them ran the half marathon.
Go, Kent, go! And those Easter photos are on your dad's dotphoto account now. I think the folder name is "Easter and picnic" or something equally creative.
Justin REALLY wants to know how your dad did apparently. And just FYI- your hair looked fine to me in person. You know I would have said something. Maybe it was the early morning lighting or something. Gator Run sign ups just opened....hint hint...
How did I post two comments again. I guess I am just new to this blog thing.
Dad did really well. He didn't get the time he was hoping for, but in his defense there were two nasty hills that got him. He finished with a 35:17 time. Not bad for a 57 year old who has only been running a few months.
Good for him! Glad to add another member to our running club. I think we all need to do Disney again!! This time without the heat please.
PS. This photo needs to go in a frame.
we will be gone the weekend of the Disney Half. And since it wouldn't be the same without everyone together- you guys cant do it. :P But- I'll tell you what you can do...plan our freaking family 5k! Come on!!!
please blog again. I miss reading the funny things that happen in your home. Either that or come join me for another cookie so we can talk! :P
